Razor Bumps And Tools

  • If you love a clean-shaven look or your workplace requires it, switch to a single blade razor, shave with a light hand and try not to shave every day. Stay away from disposable razors, like the plastic razors.

  • Make sure your razor is sharp, not dull. Don’t take a lot of strokes. The fewer the better.

  • What you're trying to avoid is shaving too closely because doing so will make it more difficult for your facial hairs to exit their follicles correctly.

  • Once you've managed to get your facial hair to a length you like, you'll just need to trim it to maintain your look, meaning you won't have to shave as often or at the very least, you'll be shaving a much smaller area.

You need to learn how to shave properly. Stay away from canned shave cream or shave gel. I would use something like a moisturizing shave lube like Easy Rider. I prefer Easy River because you can see what you’re shaving. Always shave immediately after taking a shower because the steam and the heat will loosen hairs, open pores, and make it easier to shave. Always shave with the direction of growth, generally downward.
