Breakfast is a pain in the ass, but it really is the most important meal of the day. I love my morning smoothies it’s a nice way to start the day. When you are making smoothies, I highly recommend almond milk, especially if you live a gluten-free lifestyle.

 

Try making this healthy breakfast smoothie made with almond butter to give you some protein and energy to help you get through your workout or day. You don’t have to eat a heavy, unhealthy lunch or snack; you can make this recipe for any occasion.

 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 4 cups almond milk or low fat milk
  • 1 tbsp salba (optional)

 

Directions

1. In a blender, blend the blueberries and strawberries. Strain mixture if seeds bother you.
