Fried Goat Cheese

This is one of my childhood favorites. Who doesn’t love fried cheese? Here’s a recipe that's a pretty simple appetizer or snack that even your kids will fight over. Grab your favorite protein and throw it over a salad for a well-rounded meal.

 

PRZ TIP: For easy slicing, place in freezer for about 15 minutes or until firm.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 stick goat cheese (cut into 10 circles)
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut oil (or canola or vegetable oil)

 

Directions

1.  Heat sauté pan with oil. Bring oil to 300 degrees.

2. Dip cheese in flour, egg, and then cover in Panko flakes.

3. Cook for 20-30 seconds each side, this may vary depending on how much oil you have in the pan.

4. Take out with strainer or spatula put on paper towel. Serve immediately
